Clothed in Purpose: Episode 3
Episode #3: Clothed in Purpose
P(ractice)A(pply)L(ive) Prompts:
Practice Quiet Time with God in the morning before starting your day. Practice starting each morning with prayer and start with the Word before the world. If you have no idea where to start with the Bible, or let’s take a step back, do NOT have a Bible, that is okay. Message us and we will connect you with what you can do with or without a Bible. We all like having ‘physical’ copies of the Bible to hold and mark in. You may feel intimidated by how big it is, where to begin, what does all those words mean and how do I understand it let alone PAL (Practice Apply Live) it. Breathe. You are NOT alone. We were there. We are here to help you figure this out. Check out our Psalms and Proverbs Everyday resources and materials. We are thankful you are here and invite you connect with us!
“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24)Think of one area of your life that feels aimless, like you are drifting, sleepwalking, asleep even when awake—how can you invite God’s wisdom, guidance, and direction into today, right here and now? We have God in every cell of our body, which means you do NOT need to go anywhere, any special place, do anything special to connect with God, because He is right here, right now, within you and you are surrounded by God. Look at all the people and living things that have God within them. One place to start is by turning off your technology and spending Quiet Time with God. Hear what God has to say, digest and process it, and see what you can PAL (Practice Apply Live) today. Right action helps us feel better.
“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” (Psalm 37:23)Step into each room you go today with the awareness that your presence carries Kingdom purpose and God with you. Realize you have the light of God within you. Hard to picture this, let alone experience it, we understand. The world can squash our light real fast or without us even realizing it. The good news is the light is still there, we just need to stop long enough and reconnect. Try shutting your eyes even for a few seconds and picturing a flame or light within you either before you step into the rooms you are in today or after you step in the rooms. Connect with us and let us join our light together to make the world a brighter place!
“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)
