P(ractice)A(pply)L(ive) Prompts:
Happiness is a result of holiness. Happiness is NOT tied to anything materialistic. Yes, this is work. True happiness comes from our trusting God and acting with Wisdom instead of meDOM. True happiness is like a muscle, we need to DO things to make it stronger, a habit, a healthy pattern. Ever hear that happiness comes from within? Does it seem like alot easier to SAY than DO? Yes, yet let us ALL work together to REMIND each other of HOW we do this.
Practice. Read Proverbs 3:13 - “Joyful (happy) is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding.” When we are wiser, make wiser choices, we are happier. We feel better. We experience more peace, harmony, and freedom. This is NOT an overnight habit to form NOR is it for you to DO alone. No one or family shall do life alone. Humans are supposedly so much more CONNECTED these days because of phones, social media, technology. Nope, humans are more disconnected from God, their body and life, their family and friends, their businesses.
Apply. Happiness is NOT found in temptations, sinning, or with one’s body—it IS found in aligning with God’s wisdom, and actually found in PRACTICING APPLYING and LIVING God’s Wisdom. True joy flows from a clean mind and body, pure thoughts and actions.
Live. Choose one area of life where you’ve been compromising. What can you do to start obeying God there? Pay attention and notice how joy follows when we are obedient.
