P(ractice)A(pply)L(ive) Prompts:

Success in God’s eyes looks very different from the world’s. It isn’t about titles, money, or applause—it’s about faithfulness, obedience, and walking in His Word daily. That’s why we love the easy to use P.A.L. method—Practice, Apply, Live—to take Scripture from just words on a page to a lifestyle.

Using the P.A.L. method (Practice – Apply – Live), let’s explore how to practically view success God’s way, and put it into practice.

P – Practice (Building daily disciplines in the Word)

  • Meditate on Scripture: Write out Joshua 1:8 (KJV)“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night...” Place it somewhere you’ll see it often (mirror, desk, or journal). Practice reading it aloud morning and night.

  • Renew Your Thoughts: Each time you feel pressured by worldly definitions of success (money, status, speed), pause and replace those thoughts with a truth from Scripture (e.g., Proverbs 16:3, Psalm 1:3).

Apply (Putting the Word into action)

  • Surrender Daily Plans: Before writing your to-do list, pray: “Lord, order my steps today. Let my work glorify You.” Then jot down your top 3 God-honoring priorities, not just tasks.

  • Integrity in the Small Things: Apply Colossians 3:23 by approaching even the unseen tasks—laundry, emails, helping a coworker—as service to God, not just people.

  • Redefine Wins: Instead of asking, “Did I get ahead?” ask, “Was I faithful?” That shift changes how you measure success.

L – Live (Walking it out consistently)

  • Live with Eternal Perspective: Each evening, reflect: Did my actions today reflect Christ, or just chase results?Journaling even 2–3 lines can build awareness.

  • Shine Where You Are: Live success by being fruitful right where God has planted you—whether at home, in ministry, or in the workplace (John 15:5 KJV).

  • Celebrate Faithfulness: End your week by thanking God for areas where you stayed faithful, even if the “results” aren’t visible yet.

Success His way is about obedience over outcomes.
